Brief Summary of Job Description
This is a tenure-track faculty position, which includes teaching courses within the Educational Administration Department. Candidates are expected to have a record of demonstrated ability in educational leadership and administration, distinguished teaching, and eligibility for a faculty position.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will teach online graduate coursework, recruit and advise students, provide academic leadership for the department, fulfill teaching and service responsibilities to the department, college, university, and professional community. Engagement in a UNK Leadership Academy and outreach to the educational community through consulting, presenting, and attendance at conferences and meetings is expected.
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership. A minimum of two years of successful PK-12 teaching followed by a minimum of three years of experience as a successful PK-12 educational administrator.
Preferred Qualifications
Five or more years of successful experience as a PK-12 educational administrator. Leadership role in state, regional or national level organizations. Active membership and participation in professional organizations. Experience in mentoring educational professionals. Either holds a current Standard Administrative Certificate or Professional Administrative Certificate or is eligible to obtain a certificate. Relevant and successful teaching experience at the graduate level in online, blended or hybrid instructional formats. Background in various methods and strategies used to engage students in an online environment. Demonstrates comfort in utilizing various forms of technology in course delivery.
